our wedding photography style...

Photography by Gillilan is a client oriented photography consultant.  It is our passion to capture images in a style that fits your tastes and needs.  While our typical approach is a mix between traditional and photojournalistic, we will preserve any style the client desires.  We enjoy sitting down with couples while they are planning the details for their special day.  It is exciting to hear their ideas and to discuss what their expectations are for their photos.  The initial meeting with our client is the inspiration for the images we capture on their special day.

The days of those ego-centric photographers are coming to an end.  We are already ahead of the curve by listening to what our client wants and delivering them the imagery that they desire.  We do not have an agenda when we show up.  We do not follow a set of limited protocols that put a barrier between the client and the images they wish to enjoy for many years to come.  It is all about the client - period!

The 'typical' style we shoot is a best-fit mix between the traditional and the photojournalistic style.  The mix really depends on what the client wants to see.  If the client like more images that are spontaneous and from the moment, we will put a heavier focus on those images.  If the client wants a more traditional approach with posed images of family and friends, but still wants some of those candid moments, we will change the mix in that direction.  Our style is really about the client and the types of images they have seen from friends, in magazines, etc.  This is the images they will love and cherish for the rest of their lives.

Quite simply put - we strive to meet the clients needs, not our own.
